Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring

Ok, we all know what the story is about. Everybody knows Frodo and his buddies. I haven’t read the book, some people say I should and they all say it’s way better than the movie(s) itself. But since I’m a little lazy to do that and since it’s not really the genre I would purchase in a library or bookstore I only watched the movie.
At first I didn’t want to watch it but a friend of mine did, so she took me to the cinema and made me pay for watching (!!). Well, ok, nice movie, watchable, special effects were great, the masks awesome, for someone that has never read the book it was quite a good movie.
You hope that Frodo would make it with the ring, that he will finally destroy this ring of evil!! You keep your fingers crossed so all his buddies get home safe! That all the evil powers get what deserved! That the Middle Earth finally gets the peace that it deserves to live in and of course the happy ending for everyone.
Obviously this is how you feel with the first movie. The worst is yet to come!!
It’s a three hours long drama with all kinds of action (and don’t forget the extended version of the DVD plus all the extras on it - in my opinion the best things you can find on a DVD). By the end of the movie (with no break in between) you really need to pee… but it’s not that critical with the first movie. I only wish that we could pause the movie for a few minutes just to stretch the legs…
Let’s be honest I was impressed. They managed to make a whole new world down in New Zealand (starting with the Teletubbies houses for Hobbits O_o Well, they look like that to me…).
Well done Peter Jackson!! Well done!!
I’m just wondering if it has ever crossed his mind to give up everything and just go home. It might have, but glad he didn’t and besides once you start something you have to finish it (ok… that sounds like I really should finish my study and finally graduate U_U Never mind).
The only regret I have after watching it? Once you see the first part you want to see all of them or you will never know how it ends! This is like a road to perdition!
